Installation

The Explosion Generator can be installed fixed or traversing at the boiler. In both cases, the installation is carried out such that the piston is horizontal and the dosing tanks are located beneath the explosion tanks.

Fixed Installation with Springs:

The Explosion Generator is supported by means of an overhead track and trolley. The Explosion Generator is held in place by recoil absorbing springs along the side of the Explosion Generator's discharge tube. The springs minimize that forces are directly transferred to the boiler wall. At the rest position, the connection pipe intrudes the boiler wall by approx. 50 mm.

Fixed Installation with Springs

Requirements for fixed installation with springs:

At the plant side, the following is necessary for the installation of the Explosion Generator:

• Nozzle (opening) at least DN125
• Volume requirement sideward of the boiler: approx. 1 m3

Traversing Installation for Large Boilers:

The Explosion Generator is installed movable by means of an overhead track and trolley, and introduces the pressure wave through the connection pipe directly to the location to be cleaned inside of the boiler. The traversing movement is carried out by a chain drive. At the end of the connection pipe, a deflection plate is mounted in a distance of approx. 50mm, in order to distribute the pressure wave rectangular within the boiler and to avoid the recoil.

Requirements for Traversing Installation:

At the plant side, the following is necessary for the installation of the Explosion Generator:

• Nozzle (opening) at least DN125
• Volume requirement sideward of the boiler: traversing length (same as for soot blowers)
